Mit Daniel Aschwanden verlieren wir einen im h\u00f6chsten Ma\u00dfe wachen, achtsamen und emphatischen Menschen, eine starke K\u00fcnstlerpers\u00f6nlichkeit mit klarem sozialen Engagement und einer sensiblen Aufmerksamkeit f\u00fcr Ungleichheitsverh\u00e4ltnisse sowie einen pr\u00e4zisen Denker und Akteur mit Pioniergeist, der sich zehn Jahre lang mit gro\u00dfer Offenheit und Inspiration an der Entwicklung und Gestaltung neuer Studienrichtungen und -formate beteiligt hat. Mit seiner Expertise als Performer mit transdisziplin\u00e4rer Praxis und einem besonderen Interesse an urbanen Dynamiken und Problemstellungen unterst\u00fctzte er die Profilbildung des Studiums Social Design \u2013 Art as Urban Innovation, gestaltete das Studienfeld Performance an der Abteilung Kunst und kommunikative Praxis und wirkte zuletzt ma\u00dfgeblich am Aufbau des Angewandte Performance Lab (APL) mit. Er initierte und begleitete mehrere k\u00fcnstlerische\u00a0 Projekte in Asien und Afrika, und unterst\u00fctzte damit nachhaltig die Vernetzung der Universit\u00e4t mit au\u00dfereurop\u00e4ischen Partnern.<\/p>

Wir sind zutiefst betroffen \u00fcber diesen fr\u00fchen Abschied.<\/p>

Als Kolleg_innen w\u00fcrdigen wir seine impulsgebenden Beitr\u00e4ge und gedenken mit Respekt, Wertsch\u00e4tzung und Dank seines tiefen und weitreichenden Engagements.<\/p>

With Daniel Aschwanden we lose a person who was alert, mindful and emphatic to the highest degree, a strong artistic personality with a clear social commitment and a sensitive attention to inequality relations, as well as a precise thinker and actor with a pioneering spirit, who for ten years participated in the development and design of new fields of study and formats with great openness and inspiration. With his expertise as a performer with transdisciplinary practice and a special interest in urban dynamics and problems, he supported the profiling of the Social Design \u2013 Art as Urban Innovation degree programme, shaped the performance field of study at the Department of Art and Communicative Practice, and most recently played a key role in setting up the Applied Performance Lab (APL). He initiated and accompanied several artistic projects in Asia and Africa, thus sustainably supporting the university\u2019s networking with non-European partners.<\/em><\/div>

We are deeply saddened by this early departure.\u00a0<\/em><\/div>
As colleagues, we honour his impulse-giving contributions and commemorate his deep and far-reaching commitment with respect, appreciation and gratitude.<\/em><\/div>
